Be very careful to report any and all preexisting damages with the app before leaving the parking lot, even the smallest scratches and the rear bumper, which a typical rental company understands that it get wear and tear from luggage. I did not have the agreement number prior to leaving the rental lot so the app would not work when I tried it. When I returned they tried to charge me with all the previous rock chips and scratches, so I am trying to get them to resolve the issue. In addition, I had to wait on hold for a very long time and they disconnected me multiple times before I could even speak to anyone regarding the claim. Renters beware… here is the photo of the rock chip and I have photos of all the other scratches, which there were many.

I’m giving a 5-star review for the woman in the orange vest. She was incredibly helpful and even upgraded us to a better vehicle when the one I wanted wasn’t available. However, I do not recommend their corporate customer service. The staff there were extremely rude and unhelpful. When I asked to extend my rental, they just warned me to return it before they called the authorities.

This was my first time renting from SIXT and I was a bit apprehensive based on some of the reviews. Moreover, we got caught up in American Airlines' Christmas Day debacle, so we arrived over twelve hours late. However, the entire experience was nothing but positive! We were able to rent a premium car for the price of a full-size. Moreover, both the pick-up and drop-off experiences were a breeze. Based on this rental, I will definitely use SIXT again in the future. Highly recommended!

If it were possible to give negative stars I would. The branch manager left their staff unsupported to deal with a situation they created. I reserved and paid a nonrefundable fee for a seven seat vehicle. They overbooked that size vehicle more than ten times and created a shortage. I was given a small five seat vehicle and offer for a small voucher for a week long trip. I wouldn’t want to rent from them ever again and would advise other consumers to do the same. The front desk staff told me two seven seat cars would be returned the following day and they could change my vehicle out. When I contacted mother branch manager, she said she would not be providing me with one of those vehicles and again offered a small voucher for my inconvenience via email despite asking for a phone call to discuss.

Had the good fortune of arriving at the SIXT counter in Albuquerque with no line. Greeted by a smiling Adeline. She was ready to take care of our rowdy crowd. Three couples sharing a vehicle. She told us not to worry she had the proper experience to make our trip a good experience. I was skeptical, but she proved me wrong. She knew what she was doing. We were still talking about her expert and genuine good will when we pulled away in a comfortable Volkswagen.

SIXT is terrible car agent, try your best not booking it even it has a little lower cost, especially when you need to pick up car at Airport.
I booked and fully paid a car through Expedia at SIXT Albuquerque Airport location on Jan. 5th 2025. I arrived at office 11:50pm, there was one work staff at checking-in counter who said another lady left earlier than business close hour 12:00am, he can not help me to get a car because of at least two office guy to deliver a car to clients.
I did not get my car and I called SIXT on the site immediately, who said they can not help but will refund me. I submit refund through Expedia and called SIXT again, both refused to refund me.
It was terrible experience, not only me, a few others late to be at car rental office suffered the same thing, We all booked very expensive car through other car agents because all other car agents were still open even after 12:00am. It is airport car rental office which should open till very late. I wish this information help some people when they pick up their car rental agent.

Friendly helpful service, no up selling and good X3 rental but with a few minor issues as follows. Despite using Expedia "skip the counter" option I still had to go to the counter as usual at ABQ. Fortunately there wasn't a line or I would have been upset. Sixt and Expedia need to fix this error. Also car didn't have a snow brush and windshield washer fluid was empty or not working. Would have been 5 stars without those issues.
