The guy managing the desk when I went to pick up the keys for our car was super friendly and got us our keys and car very quickly. He did not pressure me to post for anything extra than what I got on Priceline, and when I declined some of the other add one he was not pushy. There were a couple of people in front of me in line but he got people in and out super quickly, I only had to wait maybe 10-15 minutes, unlike the 45 minute minimum I’ve had to wait with other car rental services before. Returning the car was a little tricky because there were only a few parking spaces left, but overall everything went really smoothly. By far the best experience I’ve had getting a rental car in a very long time!

the worst experience ever. I tried to extend my rental and the guy just close my old order and did not telling me. Then they ask for passport and so on. I did not bring with me so that I can not use the car or extend my rental. So i have to spend 80 dollor for Uber to back get my passport. The web and the phone will never help with anything. So i have to come to extend. Very very bad experience. Never rent cars with Hertz!!!

Update: after a waiting forever call to the customer service team, they returned the extra charge back to me. But still I cannot believe how poorly accessible their team is.

Hertz did not give me the service I expected. When I picked up my car at the airport, the staff didn’t follow my reservation and charged me extra for the car protection insurance without informing me this change. My insurance reservation should have been 25per day but hertz change me 41.99per day. When I found this out myself, I was already on my trip and could not reach to any customer service through phone call or their website.
Why the customer should be responsible for the mistake made by the staff? And when I tried very hard to speak to someone, There was just no one helping me with this issue. I don’t accept this.

Hertz SB is perfectly fine. My car was ready in time. Just beware of the fuel cost, one time I forgot to refuel the car, they charge 12$/gallon.

Horrible service. And by horrible I mean nonexistent. Last night the last two flights into SBA, including the one I was on, were both about an hour late. That put the planes on the ground about 20 & 40 minutes after official closing time at Hertz. Instead of sticking around to serve their paying customers like every other rental car experience I’ve had in similar situations, the Hertz employees left the airport completely. They couldn’t find it in themselves to stick around for 20 minutes!

There were about a dozen parties stranded without cars. Some had plans to drive a couple hours away and were instead looking to book last minute hotels and/or rearrange the rest of their travel plans. Weekends ruined, money wasted, all because a couple of people cared so little about their customers that they punched out at 9:00pm on the dot despite knowing that they still had customers coming in on the last two flights.

I’m Hertz Five Star and give them thousands of dollars in business across the country every year, but will never rent from this location again.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. I would never rent from this location nor any hertz company. My rental car broke down and the best offer for Hurtz to do is to have AAA tow the car and leave me stranded and without a vehicle. Service is horrible! On top of that they refused to offer me a replacement vehicle brought to my location nd insted made me call CS to file a claim. Calling the 800 number is impossible to reach a live person! Renter beware.

I had a car reserved at this location several weeks in advance and they were initially friendly when I arrived. However, they kept saying my Amex card was declined, but when I called Amex there were no charges attempted. They then said that their card reader wasn't working, but they were somehow able to get cars for two other customers while I was waiting and had no problems with their cards. It became increasingly clear that they wanted to close up and go home and eventually I was left with no rental car for my week-long trip. I was lucky enough to get a car from Enterprise instead (at a slightly higher rate), and they had no issues with my card at all. This is not the first bad experience I've had with Hertz and I won't be renting from them again.
