Extremely rude staff.
I’m moving out of my house and wanted to donate the furniture, bearing in mind we had actually bought most of our furniture from them less than a year ago, so the condition was exactly the same as when we’d bought it. Removal guy refused to take a sofa we had bought from them in the first place, even though I had been told if the fire label was still on it they’d take it. I told him we’d bought the sofa from them in this exact condition, he started shouting at me in my own house. Then demanded I take a table apart (even though they’d delivered it to us assembled), whilst I was trying to do that for him he started shouting at me again. I told him he works for a charity and shouldn’t be speaking to supporters that way. He then stormed off, leaving most of the furniture I wanted to donate in the first place.
I called up the store manager and explained this and her only response was ‘well I’ll have a word’, so the complaints process doesn’t seem to be very official. Thankfully I also called up another Restore who asked for pictures of the furniture then said they’d take it instead, so it seems to be this particular store that has problems.
Please be very wary of their removal service! Unless you want strange men shouting at you in your house.

I Called Into Restore This Morning, To Check if They Have Any Wardrobes At A Reasonable Price, They Have A Cream Single Pre Owned Wardrobe, Priced At £90. Which is A Bit Steep, Considering it's A Pre Owned Wardrobe And A Charity Organisation Ultimately.

Went in the other day and was quite shocked at the prices I know that they are trying to make money for their charity but who can afford to shop in these places? For example there was a Pyrex dish for £7 it was ancient and I'm pretty sure that you could buy cheaper in the supermarket. The furniture is probably cheaper in IKEA and I honestly think that charity shops generally need to start thinking about the customers who are buying from them not just the charity they are trying to make money for.
