We booked our Awesome Black Jeep for a week through Sax , They went over and above to drop it off, at the Marriott for us. Plus took us to the airport after we dropped it off after a week of having it. We left our hats in the back seat , We realized after we went through security. We gave them our credit card and they were happily shipped back to us.Thank you very much ! First class service from start to finish ! If you're thinking about reating from Sax don't hesitate...Thank you !

Such a smooth experience working with Sax. They picked us up at the airport (exactly as directed) and took us back to the building to get our vehicle. They walked through everything with us and walked around the Jeep with us so we were all on the same page. We had no issues with our vehicle the entire trip so that was nice. When we returned to the building to return the Jeep before heading home, we were greeted warmly and quickly escorted to the airport. I would highly recommend this team for rentals on the island.

BEWARE OF THIS RENTAL COMPANY

I would strongly advise against renting from this company. My friend and I, both locals and students on the island, recently had a terrible experience. Although my parents have previously rented cars from here without issues, our experience was completely different — and extremely disappointing.

The vehicles they gave us were in terrible condition. Cars were not properly inspected, batteries kept dying, and parts were literally falling off. It's unacceptable that they would rent out unsafe vehicles to anyone, let alone students who rely on them for basic transportation.

When we brought these serious concerns to their attention, both the owner and an employee (Stephanie, I believe) were shockingly rude, condescending, and even hostile. Instead of addressing the issues, they seemed more interested in finding ways to exploit students financially. They clearly don't care about customer service or safety — only about making a quick buck.

If you're a student or local looking for a reliable car rental, look elsewhere. Conversations with this company are futile, and dealing with their hostile attitude is not worth the headache. Save yourself the trouble and rent from a company that values honesty, safety, and respect.

Eight years ago a friend told me about Sax car rental company and the great service they provide! I contacted Cindy the Co-owner with her husband Anil. I said to her, I'm looking to start a long term business relationship. The last company I was with , 15 years! But the service was going down and the price wasn't that good anymore! I am very pleased to say, not only the service is fantastic, but the price is amazing!! Always a bright clean newer car!! I'm thrilled to call Cindy and Anil our family!!

SAX car rental is top notch!!! We were cruising on “Harmony of the Seas” when we stopped at St. Maarten on 10/25/23.
The week before I had looked at probably 4-5 other companies for a side-by-side rental when I stumbled across SAX literally right before I booked another company. Their prices were so competitive that I was honestly a little weary, but their reviews were great so I decided to give them a try. I simply entered my info, credit card info, and was send an email saying somebody would meet me at the cruise port.
We arrived in St. Maarten, walked out of the cruise gate, didn’t see the guy, called the number, and the lady told me right where he was at. There were quite a few other side-by-sides there from other companies and the vehicle from SAX definitely stood out being in superb condition. It appeared to be almost brand new with very little wear and tear on it. When we took off one of the local girls working at a gas station actually stopped us and asked where we got it because it was so nice.
The guys had all the paperwork ready to go along with a remote credit card machine. They offered me two options on insurance: Liability for $10 or full coverage for $15. I’m not an idiot so of course I paid the $15 for full coverage, had the vehicle for literally 8 hours (although it was technically a 24 rental), and only paid $192.00!!!!!! I promise you EVERY other company was at least $300-$400 for only 8 hours. We told the guy we would meet him at 3:30 but ended up being done at 3:00. We simply pulled in a marina maybe 1/4 mile from the port, gave the keys to the security guard, and that was it. The entire process was absolutely painless, very professional, and literally at a fraction of the cost of others. I would highly highly highly recommend SAX and when we go back to St. Maarten we will definitely be using these guys. Top Notch!!!!

Choose a reputable American company like Hertz or Enterprise. Sax will scam you. The island’s roads are riddled with potholes and other hazards that will lead to a flat tire even at the lowest speeds. None of their insurance coverages account for tires, and they’ll charge you $400 for a single tire replacement. Furthermore, if you get a flat tire, it will not be replaced for several hours or the next day, which will take valuable time from your vacation.
